As a new way to make our museum’s collections accessible to the public, the Museum now offers a selection of collection catalog records with media from the National Nordic Museum permanent collection through a searchable online portal.

These selections now include: over 500 photograph print and negative records; over 500 art and artifact collection records; over 500 archive and rare book records; and over 300 selections of interviews from the Nordic Museum’s oral history archive, with many of these from the Nordic American Voices (NAV) oral history program.

In 2015, the Museum partnered with the University of Washington Libraries - Special Collections to digitize approximately 100 films from the NM collection in order to offer them online via the UW's Moving Images collection. Thanks to support from 4culture of King County, these films may now be viewed here online.
