The Deported

(Jan 25, 2020 - Mar 01, 2020)

In this exhibition presented by The Danish Immigration Museum, thirteen individuals who were deported from Denmark in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries are chronicled via material from the archives of the Copenhagen and Helsingør police. The Deported consists of thirteen portraits and accompanying texts, revealing specific chapters of the larger story of Danish immigration laws of the time.

Two mugshots of to-be-deported men. The mugshots are taken with a mirror angled next to each man so his full face and profile both are captured.
