A Swedish Lens on a Turbulent America

With his unfettered access and cutting-edge photographic techniques, Swedish photographer Hasse Persson captured some of the most iconic and frenetic images of the famed disco nightclub. This exhibition is intimate and provocative first-hand look at the vibrant parties and eccentric personalities that made the New York disco an international legend. As a decorated photojournalist, Persson has also personally donated several images to the exhibition that chronicle politics and pop-culture in America's turbulent 1960s-1990s.
