Cost: $85; Pre-Registration Required

Estonian lace often includes interesting texture and stitches that increase and decrease dramatically, giving the lace a unique beauty. In class, we will look at examples of the lace and discuss pattern resources. Tips will be given on how to read charts and splice yarns, and students can knit a small sampler with a doubled yarn cast-on, scalloping lace, and nupps. Later the pattern can be used to create a pair of wrist warmers.

Skill Level: Intermediate

What to Bring: Shetland/sport/DK weight yarn (one 25g ball will make class sampler and a pair of cuffs) in light to medium color); US size 3 (3.25 mm) knitting needles or size appropriate for yarn

Other Information: For class sampler, a small amount of heavier weight yarn can be used instead. Class sample will be knit flat in rows. Please bring all your usual knitting supplies.
