This free workshop gives insight into the process of textile designer Ýrúrarí's upcycle projects, which uses various knitting techniques to decorate jumpers (sweaters) to give them new character and life. Try out upcycling techniques with sampling and concept work. By the end of the workshop attendees will have their own non-formal pattern or idea on how to give their old jumpers waiting in the closet a fun makeover.
Please bring an old sweater in need of a new life with you to the workshop. Having your jumper (sweater) in hand will help with the design process. It is also recommended that you bring double edge needles and leftover yarn.
Cost: Free; This program is offered free of charge as part of Taste of Iceland at the Museum thanks to our partners at Iceland Naturally.
