Virtual Wallenberg Event
Oct 25, 2020
11:00am - 12:30pm PST

The National Nordic Museum’s Annual Wallenberg Event, initiated by Washington State Senator Ken Jacobsen, is an opportunity to honor Wallenberg’s selfless humanitarianism, as well as a way to bring together the Scandinavian and Jewish communities to celebrate his inspirational legacy.

Our speaker this year is Swedish activist Siavosh Derakhti, founder of Young People Against Anti-Semitism and Xenophobia. Derakhti was the recipient of the Raoul Wallenberg Prize in 2013 in recognition of his activism and in 2015 he received the Human Rights First Award, bestowed by the group of the same name.

This year’s Annual Wallenberg Event will be happening virtually. You will receive an email with event login information before the event. Please reach out to Kate Dugdale at kated@nordicmuseum.org with any questions!

Cost: $5 for Members; $10 general admission
