Great Seattle Arts Adventure—Virtual Scavengerhunt
Oct 05, 2020 - Oct 25, 2020
8:00am - 11:59pm PST

We are excited to announce that the Museum is participating in The Great Seattle Arts Adventure this October! This fun, free event just needs you, your imagination, and a device like a phone, tablet, or computer. Play just for fun, or for great prizes. Thanks to Seattle Shakespeare Company for hosting!

Cost: Free; participants must download the free Goose Chase app to play

What: The Great Seattle Arts Adventure is an all-ages scavenger hunt style adventure game for teams to engage in activities related to arts and arts organizations in the Seattle area. Teams join the game via a mobile app to complete missions for points. New missions will be released throughout the game. Teams earn points by answering trivia questions or by completing activities and submitting photos or videos.

The missions are intended to be done at home or within a participant’s neighborhood boundaries to adhere to local stay at home regulations. Teams may join the game at any point, and anyone can play.

Seattle Shakespeare Company is hosting the game on behalf of other participating arts organization and utilizes the Goose Chase platform to host the game.

When: The game runs October 5–25, 2020. The game launches with missions at 8am on October 5.

Where: The game is primarily intended for people in the Puget Sound region, but anyone in the world can join the game and participate at some level.

Who: All ages welcome!

Why: Since many arts organizations had to cancel their scheduled live fall programs due to Covid-19, a unified Seattle arts event is a fun and educational way to remind people of their local arts organizations. Participants can learn more about their favorite art form or organization and/or get exposed to a new
art form. They can connect with friends and family around shared activities related to the arts.
