
Recharge from your day with an evening of creativity and fun! Join us for our virtual Crafts & Cocktails event to get a mini-virtual tour from one our docents, learn a cocktail recipe, and make a craft using supplies you have around the house. This month we are making paper Swedish stars, perfect in a festive holiday garland, as ornaments on a tree, or as fun decorations on a gift package.
This month's craft requires: paper and scissors.
Our artist will be showing us how to cut the paper during the program, but if you would like to prepare your paper ahead of time, you'll need 4 strips of paper about 1cm wide and 40cm long. Your paper should be at least as thick as printer paper!
This month's cocktail fits the Julefest season: Norwegian gløgg!
The recipe we'll be using includes:
- 1 bottle of red wine
- 1 teaspoon cardamom
- 5 whole cloves
- 1 large sliced cinnamon stick
- 12 ounces white sugar
- ½ 750-ml bottle of aquavit (or substitute vodka or Cognac)
- 3½ ounces raisins
- 3½ ounces sliced almonds
