Feb 04, 2021
10:00am - 10:30am PST

Join us for story time and craft with our special guest, librarian Sara Jensen.

Sara brings her imaginative story time skills from 20 years of experience as a librarian in public libraries hosting events for children and families. She connects creativity with books and reading to inspire people (small and big) be curious, learn and grow. Her story time channel can be found at https://www.crowdcast.io/misssaralibrarian

We will listen to the story Children of the Northlights by Ingri d'Aulaire, Edgar Parin d'Aulaire. Inspired directly by a remarkable journey the d’Aulaires took to northern Europe and their time spent among the Sami, Children of the Northlights is a brightly illustrated portrait and celebration of the Sámi people, culture, and snow-covered landscapes of the frozen north, from two of the twentieth century’s greatest storytellers.

After the story, Sara will teach kids how to make a craft with items found at home.

Cost: Free; RSVP required. A link to the story time will be sent to you closer to the event date.
