Virtual Workshop: Papercutting for the Holidays

Date & Time

Mon, Dec 13, 2021
6:00pm - 8:00pm PST

Location

This is a virtual event

Join us for a holiday-themed papercutting workshop with Anna Brones. In this season of Advent we are focusing on slowing down and creating moments of warmth and joy, and the same goes for this class. We will work on designing our own holiday-themed designs to turn into a final papercut. Perfect to gift someone special!

*Please note: This workshop is also being offered on December 5th. The project will be the same as the one for the December 5th class.

The materials you will need for these classes are:

  • A craft knife and extra blades (Anna recommends this one)
  • Self-healing cutting mat
  • Printer paper (for sketching and practicing cutting)
  • Heavier paper (for final papercuts). Anna mostly cuts in black paper, but you can choose what you would like. Anna recommends Canson Mi-Teintes 98 lb (this comes in a variety of colors too!)
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Ruler

The virtual class will take place on Zoom; log-in information will be received via email.

For questions or assistance, please contact Education and Interpretation Coordinator Kate Dugdale.

Cost: $25 for Members; $30 general admission
