Normal operating hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 10am to 5pm. Members: Please before reserving your free tickets or registering for events. Membership discounts are applied at checkout. In compliance with King County mandates, the National Nordic Museum requires that all visitors over the age of 12 be vaccinated against COVID-19 or, alternatively, show proof of a negative COVID-19 test completed within 72 hours of your visit. Recharge from your day and pick up craft supplies for an evening of creativity, inspiration, and fun! Craft is co-developed and facilitated by local writer, artist, publisher, and producer, Anna Brones. 21 and up. Valid ID required for entry. Ticket includes craft supplies and one drink ticket.

About the Instructor

Anna Brones is a writer, artist, publisher and producer. She is the author of The Culinary Cyclist, Fika: The Art of the Swedish Coffee Break, Paris Coffee Revolution, Hello, Bicycle, Best Served Wild: Real Food for Real Adventures, and Live Lagom: Balanced Living the Swedish Way. She is the founder and publisher of Comestible, a print and digital platform devoted to stories and art about food. Her writing, books, and recipes have been featured in places like Saveur, The New York Times, T Magazine, Eater, Cool Hunting, Food52, Bicycling, Sprudge, Adventure Journal, Adventure Cyclist, Taproot, and more.

Brones also works as a papercut artist, creating graphic illustrations from a single piece of paper. She illustrated Janet Reich Elsbach’s book Extra Helping: Recipes for Caring, Connecting and Building Community One Dish at a Time, and her papercuts are featured as chapter headings in the 2019 edition of Joy of Cooking. Currently, she is working on the Women’s Wisdom Project, a series featuring 100 papercut portraits of amazing women and their insight.
