The National Nordic Museum is pleased to welcome groups of all kinds, including adult tour groups, student and youth groups, Scout and other troops, and more. Please read below for our options.
With advanced registration, we are happy to provide groups of 10 or more guests with discounted admission to our award-winning core exhibition, Nordic Journeys. In order to receive the discounted rate, all guests must visit together and pay admission in a single transaction. Standard admission rates apply to groups of fewer than 10 people.
Availability: During regular Museum hours. Requires registration two or more weeks in advance.
- General Admission: $12/person
- Senior Admission: $10/person aged 65+
- College/Graduate Student Admission: $7/person
- Children/Youth (5-18): $4/person
- Teachers/Chaperones: $6/person
Please note there is an additional $5/person charge to visit the special temporary exhibition on display. Our temporary exhibition On the Edge of the World: Masterworks by Laurits Anderson Ring from SMK- The National Gallery of Denmark is on view through January 19, 2020.
All group visits, guided or self-guided, require two weeks' advance notice to receive the group rate.

Adult Group Docent-Guided Tours
Our docent-led experience includes an overview of the Museum building and a guided tour of our award-winning core exhibition, Nordic Journeys.
Availability: Tuesday through Friday, by reservation only. Requires registration two or more weeks in advance.
Time Slots: 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:00pm, and 2:30pm
Capacity: 30 people
Pricing: All tour holds require a $20 docent fee, to be paid at the time of booking. Groups of 10 or more may pay the discounted rate outlined on this page; standard admission rates apply to groups of fewer than 10 people.
School & Youth Guided Group Visits
Our guided school and youth group program is an educational game that uses artifacts, historical documents, and stories of people who made the journey to America to explore different immigrant experiences from the Nordic countries. This is followed by additional time in the galleries using thematic study guides. The guided program requires a minimum of 15 students/children. Most appropriate for 2nd grade and up.
We also have a more in-depth scavenger hunt of the permanent exhibits for groups that don’t want to take part in the guided program.
Availability: Tuesday through Thursday, by reservation only
Time Slots: 10:00am, 11:00am, and 12:00pm
Capacity: 30 students/children per group. Two classes from the same school can schedule back-to-back tours on the same day.
Pricing: No additional fee for the guided experience.
Calling all Scouts!
The Museum now offers a new activity segment for all Boy Scouts of America councils. Bobcat, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Scouts who visit and complete a scavenger hunt will earn a Nordic Museum activity segment. This is a parent-led program and includes discounted admission.
Availability: This is a worksheet guided activity. It is available during Museum operating hours.
