Virtual Workshop: Papercutting for the Holidays

Date & Time

Sun, Dec 05, 2021
10:00am - 12:00pm PST

Location

This is a virtual event

Join us for a holiday-themed papercutting workshop with Anna Brones. In this season of Advent we are focusing on slowing down and creating moments of warmth and joy, and the same goes for this class. We'll work on designing our own holiday-themed designs to turn into a final papercut. Perfect to gift to someone special after you're finished!

The materials you'll need for these classes are:

  • A craft knife + extra blades (Anna recommends this one)
  • Self-healing cutting mat
  • Printer paper (for sketching and practicing cutting)
  • Heavier paper (for final papercuts). Anna mostly cuts in black paper, but you can choose what you would like. Anna recommends Canson Mi-Teintes 98 lb (this comes in a variety of colors too!)
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Ruler

Please email Education and Interpretation Coordinator Kate Dugdale if you have questions or need assistance.

This virtual class will take place on Zoom. You will receive log in information via email.

Cost: $25 for Members; $30 general admission
